My 2019 Bible Reading Plan

My 2019 Bible Reading Plan

Alright guys, *spoiler alert* 2018 is coming to an end- SHOCKER, I know. And as I look back on 2018 (this is me being 100% transparent with you), I gravely feel like my time with Jesus was compromised with being “too busy” this year. Granted, yes, I did get married + planned the whole darn thing from start to finish. But that’s seriously NOT an excuse!

Mike and I chatted earlier this year about how much we loved our first year of dating, primarily because we committed to read through the Bible together (via The Daily Walk), cover to cover. Sounds a little cray cray/intense, am I right?? For us, it was the most enjoyable thing we have ever done together. We got to hold one another accountable, learn about Jesus and ask questions regularly.

We didn’t do it to say that we read through the whole Bible or claim that we knew more than others (because lets be real, that aint happening in a lifetime, let alone one year) we did it because we found ourselves in a season of unknown. We both knew what we wanted, which was to learn more about Jesus and to build a relationship. The problem was, we didn’t really know how to get there.

Bible study and going to church was great, but it simply wasn’t enough. We wanted to dive in head first, we wanted to enrich our everyday lives and do something that would strengthen our relationship with one another + with Jesus.

And that’s when The Daily Walk was introduced to us.

So as 2019 approaches, we have decided to read The Daily Walk, again, as husband and wife. If you are new to the word, in a season of unknown, unfamiliar with the Bible yet are aching to know more, I couldn’t recommend anything better for you to do that this. Once we had ended that year, the Bible lost the intimidation factor (prior to reading it, it was the MOST intimidating thing to open up…) and it became the most amazingly familiar thing in our lives, besides one another.

We want you to experience that freedom in the word, too.

With that said, there are a few tools (books + supplies) that I read alongside my

Bible, more often than not, to help dive a step deeper in understanding. They are 110% not necessary, but in my opinion, extremely useful.

The Most Significant People, Places, And Events In The Bible

Yes, this is a book for kids. But sometimes, we need some colorful, pretty photos and a very simplified description of what is happening. I LOVE this book.

Learn the Bible in 24 Hours

Link to buy:  https://amzn.to/2zyz9nh

This book is so awesome, it breaks down each chapter by the hour, covering details that will rock your world. I like to read this prior to my Bible so that I have an understanding of what is happening in depth prior to reading.

Rainbow Study Bible

This was a more recent find, but a super cool one. It won’t be for everyone but its nice to peep at when you are truly confused with the purpose of a passage! The whole Bible is highlighted already and each color represents something, whether that be sin, salvation, God, love, etc.

I had a lot of 2019 bible plans some showing my finished and starting results. I bought a new phone and my bible was not transferred. Is there any way that I can retrieve my old plans like before? I really miss them
